I'm Thamindu Kalhara, currently pursuing a specializing in BICT in Network and Security Technologies. I'm passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies to build secure, scalable, and intelligent digital systems.
My skills span across web and software development, network planning using Cisco Packet Tracer, cryptography, VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing), IoT, mobile app development (Android & Flutter), and working with databases like MySQL, MongoDB, and Firebase. I also have hands-on experience with tools like Kali Linux, AWS, Azure, and virtual machines.
I'm actively seeking internship opportunities in areas like DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Networking, IoT Networking, and Database Management. My goal is to grow into a role where I can apply my cross-domain skills to solve real-world problems and eventually launch my own tech company.
Designing secure network architectures, performing VAPT, managing cloud VMs, and securing infrastructures.
Creating responsive, user-friendly websites and web applications with modern frameworks.
Building smart, connected systems that integrate hardware and software seamlessly.
Designing and building intuitive and responsive mobile applications using frameworks like Flutter and Android .

This project develops a secure IoT system to monitor and control home-based solar power systems in real time, helping prevent grid instability in Sri Lanka. Using an ESP32 microcontroller and a SIM7600 4G module, the system collects voltage and current data via sensors and transmits it securely to the cloud using Firebase and MQTT with TLS encryption. A relay module allows remote control of solar inputs, while a ReactJS dashboard provides real-time monitoring for the Electricity Board. This solution addresses issues like the February 2025 blackout by enabling proactive grid management and ensuring stable power distribution with increasing solar adoption.
